Project Overview
Arabanı Koru is an independent vehicle protection guide and Digitalpedi’s own product. It was built to compare PPF (paint protection film), window film and ceramic coating businesses by their technical specs, to visit them and review them against the same criteria, and to bring car owners together in one community. This is not a site we built for someone else: as a Mersin-based software company, we develop and operate the product ourselves. The site launched on November 1, 2026; the business directory, independent experiences, campaigns, guide and ranking criteria pages are open on arabanikoru.com.
One formula, with the reasoning in view
Businesses on Arabanı Koru are ranked by a single formula, and the criteria are written out on a dedicated page. The organic score is out of 100: profile completeness 55, official brand registration verifiable in the manufacturer’s dealer list 15, published independent experience 15, media 10 and reviews 5. Ties are broken first by distance, then by response time. Every card in the list has a “Neden bu sırada?” (Why this order?) link that shows what set the position.
Paid placement sits in a separate band: it is always labeled “Reklam · Öne Çıkan” (Ad · Featured), limited in number per district and service, and it does not change a business’s score or organic position. If a business has not declared a field, that field shows as “firma henüz bildirmedi” (the business has not declared yet); the business is not removed from the unfiltered list, it only ranks lower.
An architecture that does not copy Google data, and an experience-based voice
Arabanı Koru does not copy Google’s business content into its own database. Google Places is used only to discover businesses and get location coordinates; the location cache holds just a place ID, coordinates, a fetch timestamp and a status, and no name, address, phone number, rating or review from Google is stored. Google’s rating and review count appear on the business page in Google’s own embedded card and are not used in ranking. The map is drawn with the Google Maps JavaScript API. The business profile is Arabanı Koru’s own record, and the source of each field (the business’s own entry, its website, a visit or a phone call) is recorded separately.
The independent experience module is built around “experience” rather than “inspection”. Saying a business was “inspected” is a claim that requires authority, so the product names its badge “Ziyaret ettik” (We visited) and shows a framing sentence next to each report: this is not an official inspection, certification or accreditation; it describes what the team saw on the visit and its own experience. Reports follow a structured rubric, and the business has a right to respond and to object. Experience cannot be bought: a business cannot pay for a visit or sponsor one, and a low result is never hidden. On launch day the experiences page says the first visits are being recorded; this wording reflects how the module is built, not a published experience report.
Business panel, administration and community
Businesses have their own panel. An owner claims the profile, manages the listing details, services, gallery, campaigns and messages from the panel, replies to reviews and can submit a request to be featured (a featured placement). The admin panel covers business discovery, claim approval, moderation, campaign approval, activating featured placements and reports with CSV export. This is the kind of web application that falls under our custom software service.
On the community side there is a Q&A forum tagged by province, district and service, business campaigns, reviews written by users with a verified email address, and a personal vehicle garage with a protection record.
Infrastructure and data protection
Arabanı Koru is not a static site but a web application that runs server-side with Astro. It runs on Cloudflare Workers, keeps its data in a Cloudflare D1 database through Drizzle ORM, and uses React for interactive components, Tailwind CSS for styling and TypeScript for code. Authentication uses email and password, and emails are sent through Resend. PWA infrastructure and web push notifications were built for the app. On the search side we set up canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, structured data, robots.txt, a sitemap and llms.txt; this is the same foundation we apply in our SEO consulting service.
Personal data is collected on a minimum-necessary basis. The privacy notice under Türkiye’s data protection law (KVKK), the explicit consent text, cookie policy, terms of use and community rules are published as separate pages. Users can download their own data as JSON and delete their account; deletion completes with anonymization after a 30-day waiting period.
Verification
Arabanı Koru is live at arabanikoru.com. Its footer carries a “Yazılım: Digitalpedi” credit linking to digitalpedi.com, and Digitalpedi is also listed as the parent organization in the page’s structured data. On November 1, 2026, we checked the home page, business list, experiences, campaigns, guide and ranking criteria pages, robots.txt and the sitemap on the live site.
Because the site has only just opened, this page makes no claim about users, measurements or list size.
