Luxury Car Detailing, PPF and Window Film

Koch Detay

We redesigned the site from scratch for Koch Detay, a car detailing shop in Kepez, Antalya since 1989: a homepage that renders seven light events in WebGL2 as you scroll, seven service pages, a 55-frame gallery and the Light Guide assistant.

Project Overview

Digitalpedi redesigned from scratch the website of Koch Detay, which has offered polishing, paint protection, ceramic coating, PPF, window film, paintless dent repair and detailed cleaning in Kepez, Antalya since 1989. The new site went live on kochdetay.com on October 31, 2026, with the client’s approval.

The site has a separate page for each of the seven services, a 55-frame gallery, a homepage whose lighting changes as you scroll, and an assistant that recommends a service in two questions. Koch Detay is among Solar Gard Türkiye’s authorized dealers in Antalya; for its window film lines, the site links to the Solar Gard Premium Antalya site in the Solar Gard Türkiye network.

Seven light events, seven services

The result of detailing work shows in the light: the depth of a polish, the gloss of ceramic, the invisibility of PPF. So we put a surface that reacts to light at the center of the homepage, not a photograph. A WebGL2 shader written without a library renders a polished body panel in real time; as you scroll, seven different lights fall on the panel, and each light explains one service.

The scene is not a heavy load. The shader and scene code are downloaded after the first paint, when the section approaches the viewport. If WebGL isn’t supported, the reduced-motion preference is on, or the device renders graphics in software, the page shows the same content with pre-rendered AVIF and WebP posters.

Light theme, cinematic flow

The new design moves over a light-toned background; headings and section transitions are tied to scrolling with GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis. On the corporate pages the entrance animation is done in CSS, so the first text on the page appears without waiting for JavaScript.

The seven service pages share one template, but each answers its own questions. On the PPF page the sections run in this order: what it gives you, what PPF is, which film is used, how it differs from ceramic coating, how it is applied, what determines the price, the products used, frames from the workshop and frequently asked questions. The 55 frames on the gallery page load on phones from small variants sized to the screen width.

Light Guide

The Light Guide on the site opens with “Let’s find the right service for your car in two questions.” It first asks what the visitor wants for their car, then a second question follows based on the paint problem, what they want to protect or their priority. At the end it recommends polishing, ceramic coating, PPF, paint protection, Solar Gard window film, paintless dent repair or detailed cleaning.

The recommendation screen prepares a pre-filled WhatsApp message containing the choices. For undecided visitors there is a “Let’s look together” outcome; if the paint has cracked on a dent, the assistant says “Let’s see the dent first” and suggests an in-person inspection. The assistant is a static decision tree: it isn’t connected to a server or an AI service.

Search engines and old URLs

The Koch Detay site has page-level structured data: an AutomotiveBusiness node on every page, Service on the seven service pages, FAQPage on the FAQ and service pages, and BreadcrumbList on inner pages. The old site’s 30 URLs were connected to their new pages with 301 redirects, so the links built up in search engines are not lost.

Measurements

The release build was measured before launch, on September 30, 2026: each of the 15 pages was tested three times with Lighthouse mobile. In the median results, performance was 94–98, and accessibility, best practices and SEO were 100 on all 15 pages. Layout shift (CLS) was 0.009 at most, and the JavaScript downloaded on first load was 64–68 KB (gzip).

Verification

The numbers on this page were counted from the live site on October 31, 2026: the kochdetay.com sitemap has 15 URLs, seven of which are service pages; the gallery page has 55 images. The “Yazılım: Digitalpedi” (Software: Digitalpedi) link appears in the site’s footer on all 15 pages and goes to digitalpedi.com.

Ask on WhatsApp
01Who built the Koch Detay website?

Digitalpedi, a Mersin-based software company, built the Koch Detay website (kochdetay.com). The site's footer has a “Yazılım: Digitalpedi” (Software: Digitalpedi) link to digitalpedi.com. The link was checked on all 15 pages in the sitemap on October 31, 2026.

02What pages does the Koch Detay site have?

The sitemap lists 15 pages. Each of the seven services has its own page: polishing, paint protection, ceramic coating, PPF, window film, paintless dent repair and detailed cleaning. The services, about, brands, gallery, FAQ, contact and privacy pages are also live.

03What technologies was the Koch Detay site built with?

The site is generated statically with Astro; the styling layer is Tailwind CSS 4 and the language is TypeScript. Scroll motion is handled with GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis. The polished body panel on the homepage is rendered in real time by a WebGL2 shader written without a library. The site is published on Cloudflare Pages.

04What are the “seven light events” on the Koch Detay homepage?

As you scroll the homepage, seven different lights fall on the same body panel, and each light explains one service: “Seven light events. Seven services.” The panel is rendered with WebGL2; if WebGL is unavailable, reduced motion is on, or the device renders in software, pre-rendered poster images are shown instead.

05How does the Light Guide on the Koch Detay site work?

The Light Guide is a decision tree that opens with “Let's find the right service for your car in two questions.” Based on the visitor's choices, it recommends the suitable service and prepares a pre-filled WhatsApp message containing those choices. It isn't connected to a server or an AI service, so it has no running cost.

06How do the Koch Detay site's speed and accessibility measurements look?

In the release build, 15 pages were measured three times each with Lighthouse mobile: performance 94–98, and accessibility, best practices and SEO all 100. Layout shift (CLS) was 0.009 at most, and the JavaScript downloaded on first load was 64–68 KB (gzip). The measurement was taken on September 30, 2026, before launch.
