Project Overview

Aktaş Otel is a city hotel on İstiklal Street in Mersin’s Akdeniz district. According to the hotel’s own website, it has been in operation since 1986, and its 42 rooms, 7 of them luxury suites, were renovated in 2024. Digitalpedi built the hotel’s website, live at aktasotel.com.tr, with Astro. The site has 13 pages and is published in Turkish.

Direct booking: phone, WhatsApp and an assistant

Aktaş Otel’s site has no online payment or booking engine; it is designed to put guests in direct contact with the front desk. The phone number appears on every page, in the top menu and the footer. On screens up to 980 pixels wide (phones and tablets), a fixed bar at the bottom offers three actions: Call, Reservation and Directions.

The booking assistant opens from a fixed button on every page and collects the request in five steps: check-in and check-out dates, number of adults and children, room preference (one of seven room types, or “You suggest”), full name with an optional note, and finally a summary of the request. The “Send” button does not submit anything to a server; it opens WhatsApp with a message prepared from those details. The front desk replies with availability and current pricing.

A separate page for every room type

Each of Aktaş Otel’s seven room types (Deluxe, Deluxe Twin, Junior Suite, Triple, Family Triple, Standard and Classic) is presented on its own page with a photo gallery and room features. The Rooms page lists all seven in one place; each room page ends with links to the other rooms and a booking call to action for that room.

The rest of the site presents the hotel itself: the Corporate page covers its history and service principles, the Sustainable Tourism page covers purchasing, environmental protection and waste management as well as child rights policies, and the Getting Here page gives the address, directions from the airport and by car, and nearby places to visit.

Search engines and AI tools

Every page of the Aktaş Otel site carries Hotel structured data with the hotel’s address, phone number, room count and amenities. Room pages use HotelRoom markup, the Rooms page uses ItemList, and the Reservation page uses FAQPage markup with five frequently asked questions. The site also publishes a sitemap, a robots.txt open to all crawlers and an llms.txt file summarizing the hotel, its room types and the booking process.

The fonts (Fraunces and Manrope) are served from the site’s own server, and photos are delivered in AVIF and WebP. We apply the same foundation in our SEO consulting service.

Verification

The numbers in this project were counted on the live site on September 30, 2026: 13 URLs in the sitemap, 7 room types on the Rooms page and 5 steps in the booking assistant. The site is live at aktasotel.com.tr, and on all 13 sitemap pages the footer link “Yazılım: Digitalpedi” (Software: Digitalpedi) goes to digitalpedi.com.

The hotel’s service since 1986, its 42 rooms and the 2024 room renovation are stated on the site’s own pages; these are the hotel’s own statements.
